Suicide bombers kill scores in Maiduguri mosque, market

 

Eyewitnesses have said two female suicide bombers, disguised as beggars, tried to enter a fish market – one detonated herself there, while the other failed to blow up.

“She later blew herself up at a nearby mosque but killed herself only,” one eyewitness said.

“I have counted 22 bodies but soldiers have now arrived and cordoned off the area.”

Another residents of the area in Maiduguri, however, added that the second suicide bomber managed to get into the midst of people, who had gathered to offer prayers in a mosque, blowing herself off in their vicinity and killing many of the worshippers.
