Justin Bieber's mom Pattie Mallette was 17 when he was born. Pattie raised Justin as a single mother with the help of her mother and stepfather in Stratford, Ontario. Even though Justin was mostly raised by his mother, his dad Jeremy Bieber was also a big part of his life growing up. Like Justin, Jeremy has also had his share of troubles with the law, including assault charges.

 

Selena Gomez's mom Mandy Teefey, a former stage actress, was 16 years old when Selena was born in Grand Prairie, Texas.  Selena's birth parents divorced when she was five years old, so Mandy raised Selena as a single mom. She remarried when Selena was 14. Sel was an only child until age 20 when her mom and stepdad, Brian Teefy, had a baby girl named Gracie.

 

Lil Wayne's mother, Jacinda Carter, was 19 years old when she gave birth to the rapper in New Orleans, Louisiana. Lil Wayne was raised by her as a single mother. His father, Dwayne Michael Carter, abandoned them when he was born. Lil Wayne was also a teen parent. He became a father for the first time when he was 16 years old. Toya Carter gave birth to the first of the rapper's four children, Reginae, when she was only 15.

 

Oprah Winfrey's mother, Vernita Lee, was 18 years old when Oprah was born. Vernita moved to Milwaukee to find a job, so Oprah was raised by her grandmother, Hattie, in Kosciusko, Mississippi until age 6. Then Oprah moved to an inner-city neighborhood in Milwaukee so she could live with her mother who was working there as a maid. Oprah's grandmother was reportedly more encouraging and supportive than her mother.

 

Rapper Eminem's mom, Debbie Nelson, was 17 years old when he was born in St. Joseph, Missouri. Eminem's been estranged from his mother for at least 13 years and has been known to diss her in songs. In 2013, he released a song titled "Headlights" in which he apologized to her. The lyrics of the song include, "But regardless I don't hate you 'cause, Ma. You're still beautiful to me, 'cause you're my mom."

 

U.S. President Barack Obama's mother, Stanley Ann Dunham Obama, was 18 years old when he was born. His father, Barack Hussein Obama, was 25 years old. In an interview, President Obama called his mother, "the dominant figure in my formative years." He went on to say, "The values she taught me continue to be my touchstone when it comes to how I go about the world of politics."

 

50 Cent's mom, Sabrina, gave birth to him when she was 15 years old. He was raised by her alone. In an interview with Rolling Stone, 50 Cent revealed that she was a cocaine dealer and he became a deal when he was 12 years old. She was murdered when 50 Cent was just 8 years old when someone drugged her drink and turned on the gas
