Pacquiao will bleed, Mayweather warns
Floyd Mayweather Sr. is certain that his
son, Floyd Jr., will be too much for Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao
if their fight eventually holds later in the year.
Floyd Sr., who handles the coaching
duties for his son, claimed that Pacquiao will end up bleeding once he
got timed by Floyd Jr.’s shots.
“I see him giving Pacquiao a good beatdown,” Floyd Sr. said in an interview with Tha Boxing Voice. “Him bleeding at the ears, at the nose, at the mouth, around the eyes.”
He also claimed that Pacquiao doesn’t
have the skills and punching power of Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, whom Floyd
Jr. soundly defeated by majority decision.
“Pacquiao isn’t strong as Canelo.
Pacquiao don’t box good like Canelo… Canelo’s much bigger, much
stronger, hit much harder, a much better boxer,” said Floyd Sr.
When asked how his son plans to handle
Pacquiao’s speed, which is clearly the Filipino boxer’s advantage over
his previous opponents, Floyd Sr. said they already have a game plan in
place.
“All you gotta do is time him… all he gotta do right now is time him to death,” said the boxing trainer.
Despite his supposed “advantages,”
however, Floyd Jr. has yet to formally sign the fight contract, even if
Pacquiao has already agreed to his demands.
